Team Management
Inviting team members
Add advisors to your team, cancel pending invites, and remove members when someone moves on.
Introduction
Once your team is set up, the Team page is where you manage membership day-to-day. You add new advisors, cancel invites you have not used yet, and remove members when someone moves on. This page covers those actions. For the initial team setup at checkout, see Setting up your team under Getting Started.
These actions are admin-only. Regular team members see a read-only version of the Team page and cannot invite, remove, or change roles. For the differences between roles, see Roles and permissions.
Inviting an advisor
From the Team page, click Invite Members to open the invite form. Enter the work email of each advisor you want to add, one at a time. DNA shows the dollar impact on your bill before you confirm, because each new advisor adds a seat to your subscription.
DNA does not send invitation emails. Each invited advisor picks up the invite when they sign in to DNA with the matching email address. Give them a heads-up to sign in, since there is no email in their inbox telling them to.
Once you confirm, DNA records each invite and adjusts your subscription. DNA charges per seat, with an immediate pro-rated amount for the rest of the current billing period.
What your invited advisors see
When an invited advisor signs in for the first time, a prompt asks them to accept or decline the invitation. Accepting drops them into the shared workspace with access to every client file. Declining removes their seat from your subscription and stops the charge for that advisor.
Cancelling a pending invite
An invite stays pending until the advisor signs in and accepts. If you want to pull it back before that happens, find the pending row on the Team page and click Cancel. DNA removes the seat from your subscription, and the advisor will not see the accept prompt if they sign in later.
There is no resend option. If you need to re-send an invite, cancel the pending one and send a fresh invite instead.
Removing an active member
If an advisor leaves your firm, find their row on the Team page and click Remove. DNA takes the seat off your subscription, and reassigns their client files to the remaining active admin automatically. Removed members lose access to the team immediately.
The Team page shows who took over their clients so there is no guesswork.
When a member leaves on their own
Any team member can leave the team themselves with the Leave button on their profile. The effect on seats and client reassignment is the same as an admin-initiated removal. The last active admin cannot leave without promoting someone else first, so there is always at least one admin in charge.
