Audit logs

See every action taken on your team: invites, removals, role changes, and team settings updates, all in one timeline.

Introduction

The audit log is a running record of every action that has happened on your team. You see who joined, who left, who moved roles, and what settings changed. The log is available to every team member, not just admins, so anyone on the team can check what happened and when.

This page covers what the log tracks, how to find an entry, and what each entry shows.

Getting to the audit log

Open the audit log from the Team page. The log shows the most recent events first.

What the log tracks

Events fall into two categories.

Member events

  • An advisor is invited to the team.

  • An advisor accepts the invite and joins.

  • An advisor declines the invite.

  • An advisor is removed from the team.

  • An advisor leaves the team on their own.

  • A member is promoted to Admin, or an admin is demoted to Member.

  • Client files are reassigned after a member leaves or is removed.

Settings events

  • The team name is changed.

  • The subscription status changes (cancellation, reactivation, seat count adjustments).

  • Team deletion is scheduled or cancelled.

Finding an entry

The audit log has two ways to narrow the list:

  • Category filter: switch between All, Member events only, or Settings events only.

  • Search: type a name or email to find entries involving a specific person.

Every entry includes a timestamp. Recent events show relative times (for example, 2 minutes ago or 1 hour ago), and older events show the full date.

What an entry shows

Each entry tells you three things:

  • Who did it: the team member who triggered the action.

  • What happened: the action type, along with any detail that matters (the name of the invited advisor, the new team name, and so on).

  • When: the timestamp.
