Help & Support

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers to the questions we hear most often about using DNA.

Does DNA work on mobile?

Yes. DNA works in any modern mobile browser, and pages and tables adapt to smaller screens. That said, DNA is designed for desktop use, and some flows (running a needs analysis, reviewing extracted data) are easier on a larger screen. There is no separate mobile app.

What browsers does DNA support?

DNA works on any recent version of Chrome, Safari, Edge, or Firefox.

Can I import clients from a spreadsheet?

Not directly. The Add Client flow takes one client at a time. To speed up onboarding a book of business, use the document upload step: drop in statements, policies, or other records, and DNA pre-fills the client file from what it reads.

Can I export my client data?

There is no self-serve export in the product today. If you need a copy of your data, email support@dynamicneedsanalysis.com. The team will confirm your identity and send you the export. See How DNA protects client data for more on this.

Can my clients see what I have entered about them?

No. Clients do not have DNA accounts and cannot sign in to see their file. The only thing they see from DNA is a PDF report you choose to share with them, like a completed needs analysis.

What happens to my data if I cancel my paid plan?

Your data stays in DNA. Cancelling a paid plan reverts your account to Starter at the end of the current billing period. Every client file, document, and note remains exactly where it was. See Choosing a plan for the full picture.

How do I change the email on my account?

Your email is your sign-in, so you cannot change it from inside DNA. Email support@dynamicneedsanalysis.com with your current email and the one you want to move to. See Your account for the details.

How do I reset my password?

Use the Forgot password link on the sign-in page. A reset link will be sent by email. If the email does not arrive, check your Junk folder. See Known issues for more on why emails sometimes land there.

Does DNA work offline?

No. DNA needs an internet connection to read and save data. If your connection drops mid-edit, wait for it to come back before refreshing the page. Refreshing discards any unsaved work.

How long are my documents kept?

As long as the client file they belong to still exists on your account. Deleting a document from the Documents page removes it permanently. Deleting a client removes every document attached to that client along with it.
