Robert McCurdy is the Head of Engineering at Dynamic Needs Analysis, where he owns product development end to end. That covers everything an engineering lead is responsible for: the direction of the platform, the quality of the code that ships, the standards the team works to, and the security of the systems that handle client data.
He has delivered core parts of the product, including Helix, the AI analysis engine inside DNA. More broadly, his work spans the whole platform, the features advisors rely on and the engineering underneath them, with a consistent emphasis on building software that is accurate, accountable, and dependable.
He led Dynamic Needs Analysis through its SOC 2® examination from end to end. He owned the security controls that were assessed, the evidence supporting them, and the engagement with the independent auditor, and he is responsible for the ongoing compliance program behind the company’s SOC 2 Type I report, including the work now underway toward SOC 2 Type II.
Before DNA, he was project lead on an internal generative AI platform at KPMG Canada used across an organization of more than 14,000 people, and built a modernized, searchable archive of Canadian legislation for the Government of Canada to replace a legacy system.
